In August 2024, I began cross training in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu at Mano Jiu Jitsu, in Honolulu, Hawai'i, toward earning a Blue Belt. Whereas Taekwondo focuses on kicking and punching, Jiu-Jitsu focuses on grappling and ground fighting.
In March 2024, I earned the Second Degree Black Belt. I am now looking forward to training for the Third Degree Black Belt and cross training in Brazilian Jiu Jistsu.
From October 2021 to September 2023, I assisted with classes as a junior instructor and then taught classes independently as an assistant instructor. Being a trainer and mentor developing younger and less experienced martial artists is a rewarding challenge.
I trained and focused nearly everyday for four and a half years and earned my First Degree Black Belt in October 2021. I am grateful to the instructors and staff of America's Best Karate for guiding and focusing me to reach this achievement.
